Product Description
Maximizing Efficiency of Every Warehouse Operator.
With the Zebra VH10, (formally the Motorola Psion VH10)warehouse vehicle operators have everything they need to provide the flawless fulfillment that will help keep—and grow—a customer base. Every day, forklift and other material handling equipment operators must move more product in, through and out of a warehouse than ever before. Not only are customers placing smaller and more frequent orders, they are also often requiring direct delivery to their customers. The Zebra VH10 vehicle-mounted mobile computer delivers it all: a high level of efficiency and accuracy and ready accessibility to real-time information throughout a supply chain operation. The VH10 mobile computer is tough and warehouse-ready, handling all-day pounding and wide temperature swings while running virtually any warehouse application. It’s also customizable to meet different operator needs, easy to use and able to fit inside any warehouse vehicle.
The Zebra VH10 offers an ingeniously balanced design, with plenty of display space and a full-sized keyboard packed into a compact size that easily fits in even the smallest and most space-constrained warehouse vehicles. The VH10 is also easy to install, with a wide choice of mounting options giving it the flexibility to go wherever it’s needed in any vehicle—sit-down, standing and extended-reach—with the type of mount that best fits users’ needs.
Narrowband Solutions
Now equipped with support for digital Narrowband wireless connectivity, the VH10 will enable your customers to track inventory in real-time across every inch of their expansive outdoor facilities. Only Zebra offers Narrowband, a wireless solution designed specifically to bring cost-effective, robust and secure data-only wireless connectivity to vast areas such as seaports, rail yards, airports and expansive outdoor manufacturing yards.
Innovative Features of the Zebra VH10 Vehicle-mounted Mobile Computer
Superior reliability in nearly any environment
The VH10 boasts industrial toughness and durability, built to deal with the constant pounding of material handling equipment inside and outside the four walls: IP66 sealing, an IEC 60721-3-5M3 rating for shock and vibration that exceeds military standards (MIL-STD-810F), sealed connectors and more.
Feature-ready
The Zebra VH10 boasts the flexibility to easily add anything from bar code scanning to voice. The Bluetooth radio and pairing/unpairing bar codes printed directly on the VH10 let users add a cordless Bluetooth bar code scanner; corded bar code scanners (including legacy scanners) also work with multiple RS232 and USB ports. Bluetooth also makes it easy to provide workers with a compact mobile printer to generate labels right on the spot, as well as a headset for voice-directed applications. For those workers who need a voice connection to supervisors and co-workers, Voice-over-WLAN push-to-talk (PTT) microphone eliminates the need for operators to carry a separate voice device—as well as eliminating monthly charges for PTT services.
Backwards compatibility for cost-effective upgrades
Using the same mounts, accessories and applications already in operation for prior Zebra vehicle mount mobile computers (8525/8255), the Zebra VH10 allows users to cost-consciously upgrade to the latest technologies to improve productivity, customer service and satisfaction.
Tough, reliable touchscreen display for indoor and outdoor viewing
The automotive-grade 640 NIT ultra-bright display is easy to read, even in bright sunlight, while the 5-wire touchscreen is the most accurate and reliable touchscreen technology available.
Maximize uptime, minimize total cost of ownership with field serviceability
Replacement of the two elements that are most vulnerable to damage—the keyboard and touchscreen—can be accomplished in minutes, right in any facility, with no special tools. No need to send the Zebra VH10 to a service depot.
Flexible wireless connectivity options
Zebra VH10 users can choose the wireless technology that best serves their environmental needs and budget: 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi for compatibility with virtually any wireless LAN, and plenty of bandwidth to support any application. With support for Narrowband digital wireless, VH10 also provides robust, affordable and secure wireless connectivity for simple data transactions in expansive outdoor areas such as seaports, rail yards, airports and expansive outdoor yards in manufacturing plants—regardless of the presence of obstacles that typically create coverage holes such as metal containers, liquids or even other 2.4 GHz wireless networks. A fast 800 MHz processor and large 512 MB/1GB Flash memory space provide lightning-fast performance on complex graphics-intensive, web-based applications as well as simple terminal emulation applications. With extra external antenna ports, users can also add antennas as needed to ensure solid wireless connectivity, even in challenging areas.
Intelligence to manage itself
The Zebra VH10 is loaded with technology to help keep workers focused on the task at hand, instead of device management—no user interaction required. When the vehicle is moving, motion sensors automatically “blank” the display so drivers aren’t tempted to “work and drive,” improving safety for drivers and nearby workers. With flexible ignition control, the VH10 can automatically start when the engine is turned on and enter standby or hibernation mode when the engine is powered off.
Freezer-ready for the coldest supply chain
With the VH10, workers get true frost- and condensation-free operation in freezers with touchscreen and board heaters, smart temperature sensors that automatically control the heaters and heating speed and an elastomeric keyboard that works despite icing.
