LXE just announced a very unique mobile computer — the LXE Marathon. What’s so unique?
First, it’s rugged and boasts a 7″ outdoor, touchscreen display. Very nice!
Second, it sports a full QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera and 2d imager to read barcodes. Wow!
Third, LXE’s Marathon field computer utilizes a Gobi™ WWAN radio that can connect through either GSM- or CDMA-based mobile carriers. The computer can also connect to a local area Wi-Fi network via 802.11 a/b/g/n. Bluetooth connectivity provides users with the potential to connect various peripherals wirelessly.
The only bad news: it’s not available until Fall 2011. Start planning now!
